Why aerials sell

The lot is part of what the buyer is paying for

A ground-level gallery shows the house. It can't show how far the backyard runs, where the pool sits against the golf course, what the view is from the back patio, or how close the home is to the trailhead, the school and the lake. In the Valley, those are often the reasons the listing is priced where it is.

Aerials answer those questions in a single frame, before the buyer has to ask. That's why they matter most on exactly the listings where the setting is doing the selling.

Pricing

Two prices, and the difference is the trip

Added to a photo shoot, drone rides on a visit that's already happening. On its own, it needs a dedicated trip, so it costs a little more.

With a photo shoot
$100

8 to 12 finished aerials, any size home, booked alongside HDR photography.

On its own
$175

A dedicated drone visit, for when you already have interiors or only need the exterior.

Want the dusk version? Drone twilight shoots the home and its lighting from above at sunset. Aerial video is part of our videography packages.

Honest advice

When drone earns its cost, and when it doesn't

We'd rather sell you the right shoot than the biggest one.

Worth adding

  • Large lots, acreage, horse property and land for sale
  • Pool homes and resort-style backyards
  • Golf course, lakefront and greenbelt lots
  • Mountain, city light and preserve views
  • Corner and cul-de-sac lots
  • New and master-planned communities with amenities

Usually not worth it

  • Condos and apartments in larger buildings
  • Zero-lot-line and tight infill homes
  • Homes whose best feature is inside
  • Listings where the neighbors are the view

Not sure? Tell us the address when you book and we'll say so.

What's included

Every drone shoot, every time

  • 8 to 12 finished aerial images
  • Several altitudes: the home, the lot, and the neighborhood in context
  • View-corridor shots toward mountains, golf or water
  • Color correction and sky replacement
  • Approximate lot lines on a couple of aerials where they help, such as land and large lots, or on request
  • Airspace authorization handled for you where it's required
  • Next business day delivery, alongside your photo gallery
Where we fly most

Drone photography across the Valley

The same $100 add-on price in every city we serve. What changes is what the aerial has to show.

Mesa

Las Sendas and Red Mountain Ranch sell on the Superstition views and the lot; Eastmark sells on the community. We also fly regularly in Mountain Bridge, on acreage and horse property, and in Leisure World and Sunland Village, where 55+ buyers want to see the golf and recreation centers. Falcon Field and Mesa Gateway airspace is handled before the shoot.

Phoenix

Moon Valley and South Mountain hillside homes need the view established from the air. Central Phoenix sits in Sky Harbor airspace, so we file LAANC authorization where it is required.

Scottsdale

North Scottsdale lots are measured in acres, and an aerial is the only photo that shows the whole thing: the home, the desert and the McDowells behind it. We also fly regularly in Troon North, DC Ranch, Grayhawk, Gainey Ranch and Desert Highlands, where the frame that sells is the home against Pinnacle Peak or the fairway. Scottsdale Airport's airspace is checked for every address.

Gilbert

Lake communities like Val Vista Lakes, Greenfield Lakes and the Islands, and the larger lots of Morrison Ranch and Agritopia, are where Gilbert aerials earn their cost. We also fly regularly in Seville, Power Ranch and Cooley Station, and on lots with the RV gates and detached garages Gilbert buyers search for.

Chandler

Ocotillo's lakes and golf, Fulton Ranch's water features and Sun Lakes' fairway lots read best from above; Chandler Municipal and Stellar airport airspace is checked for every address.

Queen Creek

Horse property and county-island acreage along Riggs, Ocotillo and Empire roads: lot lines, outbuildings and arena space are the whole story, and only a drone tells it. We also fly regularly in Meridian, Cortina, Barney Farms, Hastings Farms and Encanterra, often with the San Tans or the Superstitions behind the home.

Tempe

Waterfront homes in The Lakes and Lakes West, condos near Tempe Town Lake and Marina Heights, and South Tempe pool lots in Warner Ranch and the Kyrene Corridor. Much of Tempe sits under Sky Harbor's airspace, so we request authorization and tell you before booking if a location has altitude limits.

Beyond residential

Commercial and construction aerials

Aerials do different work for a commercial listing or a job site, so they're scoped and quoted differently. Here's where each one goes.

The Listing Bees

Commercial real estate aerials

Office, retail, industrial and multifamily properties for lease or sale across Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa: site context, access, parking, frontage and the surrounding tenants, shot for brokers and owners.

Drone photography questions

Can you fly anywhere in the Valley?
Almost anywhere. Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 licenses, and parts of the metro sit in controlled airspace around Sky Harbor and the Valley's other airports and air bases. We request authorization where it's needed; in the rare spot where we can't fly, you're not charged.
How many aerial photos do I get?
8 to 12 finished aerials, covering the home, the lot and the neighborhood from several altitudes, plus view shots where the property has one.
Why is drone cheaper with a photo shoot?
Because it shares the visit. Added to a shoot, it's $100; booked on its own, it needs a dedicated trip and costs $175.
When do I get the aerials?
The next business day, delivered with the rest of your gallery when drone is added to a photo shoot.
What about wind and weather?
We fly in safe conditions only. If wind or weather grounds the drone, we'll reschedule the aerials at no charge, and the rest of your shoot goes ahead as planned.
Do the neighbors or the HOA need to know?
Not usually. We photograph the subject property and its setting, not neighbors' yards, and we follow FAA rules on flying over people. If your HOA has its own rules, tell us and we'll work within them.
Can you fly with horses or livestock on the property?
Yes, with the owner's help. We keep the drone high and away from the animals and plan the flight around them, so tell us when you book.
Can the aerials show a view the lot doesn't have?
No. We photograph the view the property actually has, and we don't edit in features or remove permanent ones like power lines. Our editing policy explains where we draw the line.
Do you shoot commercial properties?
Yes. Commercial aerials are quoted per property, since size and access vary so much. Send the address through the commercial page and we'll reply within one business day.
Can you draw property lines on the aerials?
Yes, and it's included. Where it helps, especially on land for sale and homes on large lots, we draw approximate lot lines on a couple of the aerials, or on request. They help buyers visualize the lot's size, shape and features, but they're a visual guide, never survey accurate, and the survey remains the authority on exact boundaries.
Do you photograph construction sites?
Construction work goes through our sister studio, Copper Frame Media, which is set up for job sites: construction drone photography and video, from a single aerial visit to scheduled progress flights cut into a finished film. Get a construction quote. Aerials of a home you are listing are booked here. If what you need is a measured record of the site for drawings or insurance, that's RevealBuilt.
Can I get aerial video too?
Yes. Aerial footage is part of our videography packages, and it's usually the opening shot of the listing film.
