Real estate photography in Silverleaf and DC Ranch, Scottsdale
DC Ranch is the north Scottsdale community at the foot of the McDowell Mountains, and Silverleaf is the guard-gated estate enclave inside it, climbing into the canyons above. We photograph both for agents whose buyers are usually out of state, often shopping two or three mountain-view markets at once, and who will decide whether to fly in based on the gallery. Luxury packages from $950; standard photography from $165 with a free 2D floor plan.

What sells here
DC Ranch was built out by DMB from the late 1990s in villages, with Market Street at its center and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve along its back fence. The housing runs from townhomes and courtyard homes near Market Street to golf-course and preserve-edge estates in the gated villages. Silverleaf is a different tier: custom estates in the Upper Canyon and Horseshoe Canyon, large lots on the Tom Weiskopf course, and the newer Sterling and Arcadia sections, with prices that start in the millions and rise from there.
The buyer is rarely local. Executives relocating, second-home buyers from the coasts, Canada and the Midwest, and families moving for schools all shop DC Ranch from a screen first. They want the view, and the view here is specific: the McDowells behind the house in the morning, the Valley lights spread out below it at night, and the preserve trails and the Market Street shops within a short drive or a walk.

How we shoot Silverleaf and DC Ranch
A Silverleaf estate gets the luxury treatment: a senior photographer, a planning call before the shoot, a fixed set of hand-finished images, twilight, drone and usually a full film. The gallery leads with the exterior at twilight or the view from the main terrace, then the great room and the kitchen, then the primary suite, the outdoor living and the guest house. Each image is finished individually rather than batch edited, because at this price the buyer and their agent are reading the photos closely.
Twilight is not optional in Silverleaf. The homes are designed around the view and the outdoor rooms, and both read best in the twenty minutes after sunset when the interior lights, the pool and the city lights balance. Drone shows the canyon, the course and the preserve, and tells the buyer how private the lot is. An iGUIDE tour with a measured floor plan from $155 is booked on most of these homes because the square footage is large, the plan is complex and the buyer is remote.
DC Ranch homes outside Silverleaf are shot to the same standard at standard pricing when the agent prefers: 25 to 40 edited photos for a typical home, 50 or more over 4,500 square feet, with drone for the golf and preserve lots and twilight where the yard or the view calls for it. Our luxury real estate photography page explains how the two tiers differ side by side.

Access, gates and airspace
Silverleaf's main gate is staffed, and several DC Ranch villages are gated as well. The guards admit visitors the listing agent has registered, so call our photographer's name in with the shoot date and the address when you book. On a luxury shoot the planning call covers this, including any secondary gates, construction entries or community rules about where a drone may launch. We arrive on time because a missed gate on a twilight shoot cannot be made up until the next evening.
Scottsdale Airport's airspace covers the Airpark and Kierland, and DC Ranch sits near its northern edge, so some addresses are inside it and some are not. We check every address when the order comes in and file a LAANC authorization where it is needed. The preserve boundary matters too: we do not launch from preserve land, and we plan the aerials from the home's own lot or the street.
Pricing
Luxury packages start at $950 for the Signature package, which covers homes up to 5,000 square feet with 30 hand-finished images, a senior photographer and a planning call. The Estate package is $1,450 for homes from 5,000 to 8,500 square feet with 40 images, and larger properties are quoted from $2,000. Twilight from $200, drone $100, iGUIDE from $155 and a full film from $399 are added on top. Standard photography from $165 by square footage with the free 2D floor plan, Zillow 3D from $110 and virtual twilight at $50 for five remain available for every DC Ranch home. Standard orders deliver the next business day; luxury packages deliver in three to five business days because every image is finished by hand. Full details are on the pricing page.
